Bring the healing power of nature into your life

One of the best things you can do to increase your daily well-being is to connect with the healing power of nature and spend time in nature. Even if you know that already, I bet there are times that you forget this? Because - I do.

Think about the last time you were so busy that you forgot to spend time in nature? And then think about when you found yourself out and about when you were stressed.

Do you remember how that walk in the forest or next to the ocean powerfully and magically lifted your mood and cleared your mind?

It is because, nature can heal you.

Spend at least 15 min outside daily

Nature has a healing power that can transform your life – and I am not even talking now about herbs, berries, fruits, etc. you can also get from nature and use for healing. In her research, Liisa Tyrväinen found that spending 15-45 minutes in green areas – even in city parks – lifts your mood and vitality and increases your feelings of restoration.

The more nature, the better you feel... 5 hours per month is the lowest amount of time to get the effect, then after, if you can go for 10 hours, you will reach a new level of feeling better and better.

Also, when you are in nature, you easily refind your connection with Higher Power, Universe, or God. You reconnect with yourself also on a deeper level. And that is needed for you to receive more clarity, healing, forgiveness, and acceptance that increase your happiness in daily life.

So if you are serious about your self-healing journey and want to increase your daily well-being, plan how to start spending even more time in nature. Even the tiniest changes in your busy schedule can help you, e,g:

  • Instead of seeing your friend for a coffee, go for a walk in nature or a park.
  • When going to work/leaving the office, do that by bike or walking. And add a detour into your route that goes through some parks.
  • Schedule longer hikes with your family and friends for the weekends
  • Do more outdoor sports.
  • Do some meetings at work as a walk and talk outside.
  • Buy a proper rain jacket and enjoy the rainy days more.

Bring nature into your home

Another way is to bring nature to you is to bring nature to your home. You can do this by:

  • Increasing the plants in your home
  • Having flowers outside your windows
  • Having wooden furniture and items in your home
  • Adding stones to your decoration
  • Placing mirrors on the walls to reflect a beautiful outdoor scenery
  • Having pictures and paintings on the wall representing nature
  • Opening windows from time to time for fresh air.
  • Adding an element of water or fire into your home

Activate the healing power of nature via Mother Earth

Spending time in nature also helps you establish a solid connection to Mother Earth, which shows you the world from a much more abundant perspective. She nurtures you and provides and fills your energy. She brings safety into your life. Mother Earth shows you the cycles everyone goes through from summer to winter and back to summer. And the more time you spend connecting with her, the more you start to feel that you are nature.

  • Practice grounding in nature
  • Swim in oceans and lakes
  • Meditate to meet Mother Earth
  • Send healing vibes toward Mother Earth
  • Express gratitude every time you spend time in nature or when you pick something from nature

And then see the magic that enters your daily life.
