ETTINORDIC x Piettolan Tila: My Dream Unfolds

Hi Essi, I resonate with your talk about homes and spaces. Are you interested in designing a multipurpose space at Piettolan Tila where yoga, leadership training, inner work, and nature meet?

I stared at the message from Laura Strömberg wide-eyed. Without actively selling my interior design services, a serial entrepreneur who had just made an exit from her company had found me and wanted to hire me. Me?!

She felt like an angel who had flown into my life to give me this opportunity while she knew this would be my first official client project. I was still an interior design student (by the way, not anymore) and I had only 75 people on my Ettinordic_home Instagram account.

So many emotions surfaced as I was looking at my dream project. I was proud to see the results of my self-healing journey, finally daring to reveal myself. I was so proud of speaking about the deeper meaning of home and designing spaces that nurture body, mind, and soul – things I had hesitated to talk about for years, even if I knew that it was the path I was supposed to walk.

Yet, I was scared.

Being so close to my big dream coming true felt daunting.

What if my design vision would be TOO different?

A week later, when I was walking to our first meeting, I told myself, “remember, your words resonated with her. Go to this meeting in your full power; be visible. There will be others if it doesn’t resonate with her anymore.”

I knew it was an all-or-nothing moment.
And I chose to go all in by being me.

And you know what?

I got my dream project! A project where healing, design, and all my skills merge. I’m not just a designer; I’m a Healer, Coach, and Channeler. I’m me.

And right now, I feel incredibly grateful for this opportunity and that Laura believes in me.

I feel also excited, but, I can’t really hide it, I’m also still a bit scared.

Heal with Me for a Sec.

Think about something in your life where you are making yourself “smaller” than you are. What if you, too, would go all in by being you?
