Core Beliefs,  Unleash your true nature

How to heal negative core beliefs and replace them with affirmations

I am rich. I am healthy. I have a beautiful new car. Affirmations are often misunderstood. People either are strong supporters of them or then don't believe at all that they work. In most cases, the latter group has tried and failed with affirmations. I wish people would know that both of these scenarios are correct. The thing is that affirmations do work if you use them correctly. In most cases, you first need to heal your negative core beliefs.

Because, you cannot fully transform your mindset by repeating one affirmation. I actually wish it would be that easy! You first need to heal and release the old core belief to create space for the new affirmation.

What are the core beliefs?

Your core beliefs are your deepest beliefs about yourself, others, and the world. These beliefs act like lenses through which you see yourself and everything around you. Most of these beliefs were born when you were a child. Then throughout your life, you have been searching for evidence to strengthen these beliefs – whether they are negative or positive. Eventually, you start living them and these beliefs become so automated that they are difficult to spot. Unless you consciously work on the negative ones and dig deeper to access them. You must peel all the layers of the negative, self-sabotaging beliefs on top of the core belief to access it.

In my coaching & healings, I always remove the negative core beliefs I face during the sessions. Some of my clients are not even aware that they deep down think about themselves that:

– I am not good enough.

– I do not matter.

– I am not wanted.

– I am not lovable.

– I am powerless

Etc.

Instead, they connect with the layers on top of these core beliefs. Such as:

– I will never be able to reach that dream of mine.

– Others don’t value me.

– My romantic relationships never work.

– I don’t have any clients.

Etc.

How can you let go of the core beliefs?

This is how to let go of the core belief: Recognize – Acknowledge – Accept – Let go – Replace.

Recognize:

1. Listen to yourself and your self-talk.

2. Catch anything that seems negative. Such as, I am furious. Why cannot he listen to what I have to say?

Acknowledge:

1. Then look deeper into the statement. Ask yourself how you feel when he is not listening to you? → Most likely, you feel deep down that you are not heard.

2. Then ask yourself, if that is true – was it really that he did not hear you? Or is it really true that people cannot hear you generally speaking? → Most likely, they do HEAR you. So the belief is not true, even if it feels like it.

Accept:

Accept what you are thinking and feeling. Forgive if you have difficulties to accept.

Let go:

Tell yourself that you let it go. Let it all go. Do a ritual, if you feel like it. Do a yoga sequence about letting go. Write a letter to let go. Meditate to let go.

Replace with a new affirmation:

Now comes the affirmation. This is where you rebuild your core-belief system! Once you have let go, take a deep breath and tell yourself the new belief you want to implement. Such as: I am heard. I hear myself.

This is when you should start stating the affirmations, rather often. So that you remind yourself of the new belief. You should add notes about them also here and there (in your wallet, phone, or post-it notes on the mirror) that will help you remember it.

The BIGGEST WORK WILL HAPPEN IN YOUR DAILY LIFE

You must start catching all negative self-talk related to this core belief in your daily life: during work meetings, at breakfast, when you make dinner, before going to bed, and so on. Once that happens, you should go through the same process: acknowledge, accept, let go, and replace.

At some point, once you have done this practice for some time, you accept, let go and replace it fast. You are not any more resisting it. That is a fantastic feeling – because you are starting to accept and build that new, beautiful, positive core belief of yours.

Once that new belief is set – watch the world transforming around you.
